FAQ

What kinds of fish do we catch?

We go for a wide variety of different fish. Stripers and Blues are common this type of year in the Long Island Sound. Blue Gill, Bass and other can be caught in local rivers, and lakes.

What if I have to cancel?

Get Schooled will offer a refund up to three weeks before your session. We cannot offer a refund after that.

What do I need to bring to camp?

Please wear cloths that you do not mind getting wet or dirty. Also, please make sure that your child brings a hat, sunscreen, snack, lunch and plenty of water.

Will my child be fishing with much younger or much older kids?

Probably not. We generally split our whole group by age (or skill) into smaller groups of about 12 kids.

How many counselors per camper?

We try to keep a 4 to 1 camper to counselor ratio.

Is there a limit to how many fish my child may catch and keep?

We are strictly a catch and release school. All fish will be returned back to their natural habitat
